Habitat Volunteers Lift People Up!

Edisto Habitat for Humanity has numerous ways you can help serve our community and help those achieve homeownership through our affordable housing program. All volunteers must complete and return a volunteer waiver in order to participate as a volunteer.

Email [email protected] to learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities and other ways to get involved.
Complete the Volunteer Waiver
Once completed, please print and bring to the Volunteer Registration on the day of the event.
Construction Volunteer Opportunities - Help Us Build!
  • No construction experience is needed; skilled supervision is provided.
  • All volunteers must provide an adult waiver form (if 18 or older) or a minor waiver form (with guardian’s signature, if 16-17 years old).
  • On your volunteer day, be sure to arrive at registration on time - early if possible.
  • Volunteers should wear pants - something that will be okay if paint gets on them. We suggest denim or something similar. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
Homestore Volunteer Opportunities
Our Homestore volunteers play a direct role in creating a positive experience for our customers. The Homestore offers full or half-day shifts and help with pricing items, working on the sales floor, and assist with incoming donations.

Edisto Habitat Homestore Volunteers help:
  • Staff the sales floor
  • Price donated items
  • Assist our pick-up crew
  • Assist with incoming donations

The profits from the sale of items sold in Edisto Habitat for Humanity's Homestore go directly back into the organization's homeownership program to build homes for families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing. And, not only are you helping Habitat with our mission, you will also form friendships with our existing volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone deserves a safe, healthy place to call home, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in over 1,000 communities throughout the U.S. and in over 70 countries.  In that time, more than 22 million people worldwide have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home.
