Carpenter Club

Join the Carpenter Club!

Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Edisto Habitat builds homes with partner families needing simple, decent housing. Habitat homes are sold to families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans.

Edisto Habitat raises the money needed to build homes from various sources, and the Carpenter Club is an excellent way for supporters to get involved.

The Carpenter Club is a group of donors who help offset the cost of each new home constructed in Orangeburg County and the surrounding areas.

How It Works

Carpenter Club members pledge a donation for every home completed by Edisto Habitat (maximum of five per year). A statement is sent to each member notifying them of the completion of the new house and the amount due. Members are also invited to participate in the dedication of each new home and can see firsthand the excitement and gratitude of the new homeowner.

Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone deserves a safe, healthy place to call home, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in over 1,000 communities throughout the U.S. and in over 70 countries.  In that time, more than 22 million people worldwide have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home.
